The Chicago Citizen — billed as “the eyes and ears” of the community — recently covered MicahBlu’s smash-hit performance at Crete-Monee High School in the southern suburbs of Chicago.
In her coverage of the event Katherine Newman, a reporter for The Citizen, remarked that “positivity is woven into MicahBlu’s music … she loves sharing her positivity with a younger audience which made her recent high school tour a great fit.”
Those of us who’ve caught her early performances and ratcheted up the Views count on the MicahBlu YouTube channel already know her as a positive force that won’t be stopped. We loved watching the reception MicahBlu received from students who across the U.S. consistently say music plays a huge role in their everyday lives.
We’re not the only ones smiling. Newman reports “During the tour, MicahBlu would arrive early and stay late before and after the performances to meet with students.”
Thanks to Crete-Monee High School for hosting this event, and to Katherine Newman and The Chicago Citizen for spreading the love of Blu!
